One of Ireland's most charming Bed & Breakfast Country Houses

Country House - Pet friendly Bed & Breakfast - Front door
Located in the midlands of Ireland in County Tipperary, Saratoga Lodge is an Award-Winning, Pet-Friendly, Bed & Breakfast Country House which forms part of a 150 acre working stud where mares and foals graze in rolling pastures.  Just 5km from the town of Templemore, Co Tipperary, which itself is  a short drive from both the M7 and M8 motorways , the bed & breakfast country house can be easily accessed from the east, south and west of Ireland.

Saratoga Lodge has received a number of awards, including Hideaway of the Year 2011.  We' have been recommended by Georgina Campbell's Ireland Guide since 2007 and we are listed in Alistair Sawday's.  Our bed & breakfast accommodation is rated 4-star by the AA and we are approved by Fáilte Ireland.

This country houe offering bed & breadfast accommodation (with evening dinners on request) is nestled beneath the Devil's Bit mountain, so named because according the legend, the Devil bit off the top of the largest mountain when he became enraged by his unruly goats and then spat it out 30 miles to the south to make the famous Rock of Cashel.

"A unique Irish bed and breakfast experience".

Staying at Saratoga Lodge
We offer Irish bed and breakfast accommodation with 3 double/twin rooms (all en-suite) in a beautifully proportioned Georgian country house. The decor is traditional with books, paintings, horse riding and racing memorabilia, comfortable seating and a log fire in the sitting room all creating a relaxed, homely atmosphere. Our bedrooms are simple but inviting, with sleep-inducing beds.

Evening dinner is available on request with home cooked food on offer using the best local produce including freshly picked vegetables, fruit, herbs from the country house's gardens, honey from the beehives and freshly laid eggs from our free range chickens.

Valerie Beamish, owner and hostess at Saratoga Lodge
"A member of the Beamish family, Valerie is hospitable, funny, full of chat and extremely talented. She restores ceramics, bronzes, stoneware and picture frames, as well as being an accomplshed cook. Meals here are a treat, with Valerie cooking whatever you want - within reason"!

"Still have lovely memories of your kind hospitality, scrumptious dinner and tasteful decor, such  a vision of rolling hills, grazing horses and birdsong to wake up to. Came home energised and stress free - thank you".

"I have really enjoyed my stay at Saratoga Lodge. It is a rare gift to be so completely trusted with someone else's home. We were looked after beautifully and it turned a working week into a most restful stay. I'm looking forward to meeting you when I come back again. My husband would love this beautiful place".
